Mr. James “Rob” Stewart stood for our country as a member of the US Army, during Vietnam. A proud graduate of Hitchins High School, Rob excelled in basketball, earning respect and admiration from his peers. His most cherished moment came when he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Rob dedicated his career to General Refractories in Hitchins, from which he later retired. An avid fan of UK Basketball, Rob found joy in spending time outdoors, particularly relishing long drives in the country with his grandchildren and was a life-long rabbit hunter. He fully embraced the love and laughter shared with family, leaving behind a legacy enriched by his devotion.
