United States Navy SEAL, Ian Michael Brandewie. Ian, 34, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Ian, at a young age, was determined to become a US Navy SEAL, a goal he pursued with extraordinary discipline and perseverance. He enlisted in the Navy in 2012. Upon completion of boot camp, Ian successfully graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training (BUD/S) Class 301. Assigned to SEAL Team 8, Ian conducted multiple deployments to Central America and East Africa as part of the Global War on Terrorism. He concluded his naval service in 2018 as a Special Warfare Operator Second Class. Following his service, he continued giving back to his Veteran (and others) community. He witnessed and understood the struggles faced by so many veterans, and with that, he became a passionate advocate for those navigating PTSD and mental health challenges.
