About the Mission:
William Henry Kirschbaum, SF1/E-6, served in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Plymouth Rock (LSD 29) as a Ship Fitter/Pipe Fitter, and was awarded the National Defense Medal. After his honorable discharge, his pastime was spent with family. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was also a member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the PGR of Kentucky, VFW Post 10281, American Legion Post 113, and the DAV.
