Hi Everyone I just got out of a meeting with all the Big Wigs on Ft. Knox. I attached the flier in case you did not receive it the first time. The big change most wanted to know about, Also if you plan on driving a P.O.V. you will not have to get a 1 day pass, when you arrive at any one of the gates inform the guard that you are here for the Salute to Vets event and they will let you Thur. We are expecting around 300 to 400 motorcycles. There will be signs posted at the Museum entrance off of 31W as to where to park for motorcycles involved in the escort. If you are unable to be a part of the escort as you enter any of the gates there will be signs posted all the way to Brooks Field and Soldiers directing you where to park. All the Vietnam Vets will gather on Brooks Field in a designated location, will then be lead out onto the parade field to meet with the Post Commander and other Generals and family then be given a Pass and Review followed by a Fly over and Landing of several Choppers on the parade field. They have laid on enough food and drinks for 2,500 people. All vets and their families will eat first. Please read the attached flier and if you have any questions feel free to call me or e-mail me. This e-mail is being sent out to several Vets organizations, if you know of any others please forward this to them. Rolling Thunder, PGR and Amvetts from Indiana have also been contacted and informed about this event. This will be a very large event. Lets do this right and show these veteran's how much we appreciate what they have done for us and our county.
